Guild Chat and Vent Racism is forbidden in both Guild Chat and the Ventrilo lobby. What happens in private channels both in-game and on Vent is for members to discuss and manage on their own. Severe issues can and should be brought to Senior Officers at any time and escalated as needed. We have not banned swearing from Guild Chat or the Vent lobby, but a few guildies have taken it to the extreme. There will be no banning of foul language but, when it is used to an excess, the individual will be notified to tone it down. In the event that someone cannot control themselves, we have two tools at our disposal: for Guild Chat we have the TIME OUT rank, which allows a member to read Guild Chat but not respond; for Ventrilo we have Global Mute, which will allow a member to hear but not speak. The decision to place someone in TIME OUT or Global Mute is not taken lightly, and will only been done after discussing the issue with the person (except in extreme circumstances). The Guild Bank What the Guild Bank does: * Provides some support to 25-man raids (at Raid Master discretion) * Provides support for progression-level raiding * Boasts numerous enchanting mats and other materials which can be bought for 60% of Auction House cost (reposting such items to the AH is grounds for immediate dismissal from the guild) * Can be used for loans to Deathguard and Martyr level members (coin withdrawals to be repaid within a week by coin or equivalent items/materials) * Above all else, bank funds to Deathguard and Martyr-level members are expected to (a) be loans and (b) go towards your core purpose in the guild (be that improving your tanking gear or enchanting a PvP cloak to better serve our premades, etc) What the Guild Bank does not do: * Loan money out to those below the Deathguard level * Serve as a fun-house for high-ranking Officers - we do not withdraw large sums to use on alts, for example * Act as a "gift" repository for alts or for members
